Frequently Asked Questions
What is Partsfinder?
Parts Finder is a simple search engine to help you find new, used or reconditioned vehicle part(s).
When would I use Partsfinder?
If you are looking for a part to repair or modify your car/motorcycle.
When will I receive a quote?
You can expect to receive a quotation within one hour during normal working hours, although expect to wait longer for rarer or harder to find items.
How will I receive a quote?
You can receive a quotation in three ways:
E-Mail:
E-Mail is the preferred choice allowing you to compare quotes and consider your purchase.
Text:
This is a great way of receiving your quotation on the move. We will forward both to your
e-mail and text at the same time. This service only costs £1.00 per text for the first 2 texts and free thereafter.
Can I order from outside the UK?
Most of our suppliers will be happy to send orders to most parts of Europe and the rest of the world. EEC purchases will be fairly straight forward, but there will be differing customs forms for non EEC purchases
How do I purchase my parts?
When you have selected the supplier of your choice, please contact them direct from the details given on the quotation. You can pay with all major credit cards, or send a cheque or bankers draft but you will have to wait for these to clear before your order is issued.
When will I receive my parts?
When you order your parts you will be given several options of dispatch, but most of our suppliers use reputable carriers that you will be able track on line. Saturday delivery is also available but expect to pay around £20 extra for this service. If it is a smaller item then Royal Mail is the best service, but can take 3-5 working days for delivery. Please make sure you specify your requirements when you order.
Will my parts be guaranteed?
All PartsFinder suppliers give a minimum of 1 months warranty, but many will give up to six months. Please again make sure that you confirm these details when ordering, and check your receipt when you have received them.
What if I have a problem with the parts provided?
Most problems arise from the WRONG information being exchanged. Our forms are designed to help both you and the parts provider establish EXACTLY the parts you require.
Most parts providers specialize in one model, and will have encountered the specific problem you have many times before and will ask you for the relevant details.
If the parts are faulty, you will be expected to return the parts for refund or exchange within the warranty period.
Please contact your supplier in the first instance. If you still cannot resolve the issue, please contact us at Info@partsfinder.co.uk.
